M-9. Print of warship "SMS Braunschweig". She was a "Linienschiff" or Ship of the Line-a Battleship. This is from a set of prints of paintings of pre-WWI Imperial German Navy warships. All the paintings were done by professional artists, and the prints are nice quality. The attention to detail is fantastic. Prints are nicely mounted on medium weight Navy blue carboard backing with name of ship in embossed gilt gothic German scrip (including names of all other ships of same class). Backing material is 13 1/2" x 18", prints average approx. 8" x 13" but do vary some in size. Prints have been framed at some time and have some minor foxing around edges, but no tears or folds. Sorry my scans aren't better, but had trouble photographing the prints as tended to reflect the light, what looks like fading is actually reflected glare. I'm not sure how old these are, could be 1930-40's period or little later, but definitely not real new. For age I'd say they're in VG to EXC condition overall. I had a couple of these framed for my own "war room" and they look fantastic!
