This is an Underwood-made flip rear sight for an M1 carbine of ww2 vintage. The flip sight is marked with ".U." (see photos). T he base has a tiny "S" on one side. The sight has some honest wear from use, but has not been refinished (ie is in original, used phosfated finish). Please see the images.
