UNIQUE FLATWARE SET FIT FOR A KING In fact, sets just like this one have been given as gifts to dignitaries worldwide. My parents purchased the set during one of their trips in the 60's to Lebanon, from Said & Alfred Haddad shop in Beirut. The pieces are hand carved ram and buffalo horn handles, inlaid with specially dyed bone or mother of pearl with stainless steel blades and silver plated metal. It features a fanciful bird with red top and inlaid decorations on the horn material. Their trademark is on every piece. This set was never used, kept wrapped up and stored. The 36 piece set consists of 6 dinner knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 teaspoons, 6 steak knives, 6 salad or dessert forks and 6 larger spoons which could be used either for soup or as serving pieces. The gallery photo is of the "regular" dinner knife, fork and spoon set, with additional photos of the steak knife and salad fork set, the third is a photo of the larger spoons, and the 4th is a closeup of the detail on every piece.
