Maccaferri Plastic Arch Top Guitar Brilliant thing from a brilliant builder A brilliant thing from a revolutionary Arch top builder. These went into production in 1953 and were discontinued in the 1960's sometime . Way before Ovation a brilliant guy who had already designed one of the great guitars came up with the Idea to use new materials to build a better mousetrap. Complete with original hang tag and little "silk rope" guitar strap. Very Good Condition. A few minor abrasions. This is the arch top model. T also was a flat top model. The guitar has a small body. It's funny, it sounds somewhat reminiscent of the Selmer. I should probably put the Argentine Strings on that you usually for the classic Macs. The guitar has a screw adjustment on the neck which is accessed below the tailpiece shown It's explained in the owner manuel which you can read below. You're seeing a little surface dirt on the white headstock. I cleaned it quickly with a paper towel. It should clean up a little more. Heck, the back plastic which is actually called Styron and was made by Dow Chemical, is actually really pretty. Sort of like Brazilian Rosewood? Well... Maybe. You can also see that cool guitar strap. Cool Cutaway and a couple of scratches. T are little plastic buttons that go up the neck. One fell out. The rest are solid.
