MacKenzie Childs Rare Chelsea Lustre Demitasse Coffee Tea Pot On Sunday night our auction for this stunningly beautiful and rare MacKenzie Childs Chelsea Lustre Demitasse Coffee or Tea Pot will end. We found this pot and several other MacKenzie Childs items at an estate sale, and they were packed new and unused. They were originally purchased at the MacKenzie Childs store in Aurora, New York. This pot originally sold for $275 at the MacKenzie Childs store. It is signed on the bottom; please enlarge the photos. This pot is absolutely gorgeous, and MacKenzie Childs has retired this line of pottery, so the value of these wonderful Chelsea pieces can only increase. This pot is lovely with other Chelsea pieces, but it also mixes well with the other MacKenzie Childs patterns. It would make an unforgetable gift for a wedding, birthday, anniversary, or other gift-giving occasion. This pot measures 10 inches tall and approximately 10.5 inches wide from the spout to the end of the handle. It has clusters of spring and summer flowers, dots of lustre copper around the lid, a lustre copper handle, and on the lid a lustre copper bird perches over tea. It is absolutely lovely.
