These HR824s have performed beautifully. I bought them new approx 5 years ago and they've been in my smoke-free home studio ever since. THESE ARE THE MORE DESIRABLE MADE IN USA VERSION, not the newer Chinese version. They are like new with only very minor surface nicks and scratches from reorganizing the studio from time to time. I recently found and incredible deal on some Genelec 1031s and so I'm going to try those for a while. I'd really prefer to keep the Mackie's for A/Bing because I know them so well and have created so many nice mixes with them, but you know how it goes. Got the new gear bug . . . Though the Mackie's are an incredibly robust performer I've never pushed them all that hard. Never needed too, I like my hearing. You won't regret it, they are great monitors! They also come with their original boxes (a bit worn from living in an attic, but will do the job getting these to you SAFELY!).
