I will still be around to accommodate those special needs Since 1924, millions of Americans have looked to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as the day that the Christmas season begins because it signals the arrival of Santa Claus at Macy's giant store on 34th Street in Manhattan. in a spectacular miniature version, you can run your own parade all year long. This 11" tall (plastic operating base is 10.5" in diameter) ceramic display features lights, music and action as a marching band, a group of balloon handlers with a giant Ignatz or Mickey Mouse (NOT LICENSED MM) balloon at the end of their tethers, and the big man himself on his sleigh with reindeer, parade around Macy's store. And while they parade the outside of the building, inside the store are Victorian era dressed shoppers circling the many departments of the world's largest store. Lighted from the center post so you see the inside shoppers and featuring 25 Xmas songs and 25 year round songs to play.
