Mad books! (click to see large photo!) These are paperback pocket-sized books consisting of original material from the writers and artists who worked for Mad magazine in the 1960s and '70s. These books are a must for Mad collectors -- you'll read comics and jokes you can't get anyw else! (Note: I am selling many other Mad magazines, books and other unusual items. Please see my other listings .) Why collect Mad books? These are Mad paperback books published by Mad writers and artists who wanted to branch out . Much of the writing and artwork in these books has never appeared in any issue of Mad Magazine . The book format allowed the Mad artists and writers to expand on themes and concepts in more depth and detail than afforded in the average 2-page Mad article. Many of these are First Editions .
