Here is a unique doll set exclusive to Atelier Mandaline. Wendy is helping Mother shop on marketing day. She looks adorable in her red and white dress with attached slip, tagged Vogue checked coat with velvet collar, and felt poke hat. Wendy is big enough to carry the straw market basket tagged Japan. This has some color transfer; please see the photos. Mother tells Wendy to pick a box of cereal and she chooses healthy wheat flakes, probably a My Merry piece from the 50s. Then Mother buys a cake for supper because Pastor is coming to eat. Since Wendy is such a good girl Mother lets her pick out a new doll. She chooses a rubbery 1950s baby wrapped in a vintage flannel blanket. Wendy is a straight leg walker doll, one of the earliest Alexander-Kins. Her blond triple stitched wig is in great shape and her blue sleep eyes work. Her walker works as well. She does have a yellow spot on her chest and a pink spot on her bottom. There is a rub in the paint on one cheek. Please see the photos. I re-strung Wendy with durable elastic cord.
