I dug these in Madison county,MS. They are around 4.5 to 5 inches long. One is made from a file, for cutting rivets or brads. Some angle apparent inside cutting vee. A little flared from hammer. The other piece looks to have been used for splitting rather than cutting. Much flare on head. These are from a pre Civil War slave/ blacksmith shop foundation in Madison, county. They have been slightly cleaned and coated about 10 years ago. This site is completely gone due to bulldozer/construction.I performed my dig just ahead of bulldozers!
