I'd heard the funny story, but now I actually managed to find the actual incident caught on camera! This is a set of TWO photos. In 1974, both Mae West, Zsa Zsa Gabor and a host of other stars attended Lucille Balls' 'Mame' premiere. Cameras were excited to catch Mae West and Zsa Zsa Gabor in the same place at the same time and got them to pose together ( no doubt Mae West was not entirely thrilled with the idea!). As photographers shot away, Gabor kept glancing at West's hair. Finally, Gabor said "Dahling, I am fascinated by how high you get your hair! How do you do it?" And went to TOUCH IT. Mae West blocked her touch and admonished, "OOOhhh...no, no dear! One never touches my hair." Gabor looks a little less enthused in the second photo! Between them is Margaret O'Brien , apparently quite excited to get an autograph from Mae West.Both photos are roughly 8X10 and developed in a profesional photo lab.s/h is $4.50 SEE MY OTHER COOL, RARE Mae West PHOTOS ON EBAY AT THIS TIME!
