This exceptional vintage Margot de Taxco Sterling Silver Bracelet must be considered a true Mexican Silver Masterpiece - from the gorgeous ornate design to it quality construction, it's simply amazing! A big show stopping bracelet, it measures 3 1/2" long at the front tapering to 3/4" at the back with an inside measurement of 6 3/4" - as it opens at the front and is hinged at the back it can fit almost any size wrist - and it weighs a very heavy 93.6 grams of sterling silver. Hallmarked "Margot de Taxco, 5339, Sterling Made in Mexico" with a very faint eagle stamp, it is in good original vintage condition with no signs of damage or repair, only minor wear with a bit of tarnish and the hinge is in good working order. Over time it has developed the deep rich patina that highlights the elegance of it's ornate design. Margot called this Bracelet "Silver Swirls" and it is featured in the book "Margot Van Voorhies, The Art of Mexican Enamelwork" by Penny Morrill on page 81, plate IV-2. A very beautiful and important vintage Sterling Silver Bracelet by a very important Taxco Silver Artist and a heirloom quality treasure.
