T his item is from a large estate collection of antique & vintage Asian jewellery and collectibles. The previous owner was a 40 year resident of Hong Kong who was a member of the Hong Kong Club and who worked in association with the Governor of Hong Kong Lord MacLehose of Beoch during the 1970's. The vast majority of the pieces are jewellery related including antique & vintage jade, precious gemstone and costume jewellery items. All items are being offered as found and without any reserve. THE ITEM's DESCRIPTION: This *RARE* absolutely MAGNIFICENT and exquisitely CRAFTED vintage early 20th century single continuous hand-knotted strand of massive beautifully polished Cherry Amber Bakelite beads measures approximately 28" in length. The necklace is strung on its original thread and some of the knots have slipped. The necklace contains forty(40) graduated ovoid shaped beads measuring from 11mm X 7mm all the way up to 40mm X 25mm. The overall vintage condition of the necklace is excellent(may just need to be re-strung). There is no damage to the beads and all are in excellent condition.
