Please read policy guidelines below ************************************************************************************************** This auction is for the sale of a fully restored set, and it is eligible for the full warranties explained below. 1938 Majestic Model 551, 5 tube Broadcast/Shortwave "Mighty Monarch Of the Air" table set This set is a five tube unit, Standard Broadcast. The electronics,... all capacitors have been replaced on this set. The tubes have tested above normal minimums on our Military TV-10D/U, and by the data provided in the guidebook for this equipment. All resistors have been tested for the allowed tolerance and the set has been aligned. The tube layout for this 5 tube set is as follows,.. beginning with the rectifier: 80, 6A7, 6D6, 75,and 50L6, accompanied by 5 inch fixed speaker and has been reconed. The chassis has been cleaned with a grease and oil remover, and it is free of rust or corrosion of any kind. We have sealed all metal parts with a lacquer base coating. The cabinet has been completely restored. This on model is done in a beautiful Ivory with matching ivory bakelite knobs. The cabinet has been checked for cracks, cleaned and refinished with it's original ivory color. The finish has been prepared starting with an automotive high build, catalyzed sealer, followed by coats of color, then sanding sealer. The final finish is a three coat process, using a High Solids Gloss Lacquer final finish sealer. All hardware is properly polished and protected with an all-metal lacquer coating especially formulated to prevent yellowing or tarnishing. The grille cloth has been replaced with a beautiful duplication gold cloth, very close to the original. The cabinet dimensions are: Height - 8.0", Width - 12.50", Depth - 8.50" Our packaging can be verified through feedback testimonials. We professionally prepare all our radios for shipping in a container especially constructed for that set. We ship all packages using Federal Express Home Delivery, within the Continental U.S. only.
