MajolicaBasket Weave & Foliage Griffin, Smith & Hill Plate Green and brown glaze majolica plate with basket weave and foliage around the rim. Yellow band around rim edge. Radiating bands of interspersed green and brown in the center. A finely produced piece by Griffin, Smith and Hill of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Hallmarked with impressed monogram G.S.H. and made from 1880 to 1890. From the front this plate is near perfect and shows little wear. Wonderful grazing throughout the glaze. Does have a hairline in the rim. Has also had a chip out of the reverse rim that has been repaired. A nice display piece of Griffin, Smith and Hill Etruscan Majolica. Dimensions: Height 3/4 inches (1.9 cm) , Diameter 7 7/8 inches (20 cm), Foot Diameter 4 inches (10.1 cm). If you have any questions or require additional information please call me at .
