For sale is a Major General Andrew Jackson medal from the U.S. Mint, No. 417, in the original packaging just as I received it from the Mint many years ago. All items shown in the photos are exactly what you will receive; this includes the medal, still enclosed in the original sealed plastic, the wrapping paper, the plastic stand for medal display, and the white storage box.Please review the photos as they are also part of this description. I've included several digital photos and scans (#2 & #3 are scans) of the front and back of the medal as reflection from the plastic makes it difficult to obtain clear views of the medal's surface; I cannot remove the plastic as then it's no longer considered OGP.I would note the following minor conditions:1) There are several tiny black specks, smaller than a pin head, on the back of the medal where it appears the finish has been rubbed. Given that the medal has been kept in the storage box and not displayed, these marks are probably original. If you bid on the item, then you acknowledge and accept this condition. I was not able to show the marks clearly in the photos due to the plastic interfering.2) The white box has writing on it in pen; the two copper tabs to keep the box closed have broken off.Item will ship USPS First Class Package in a new or used clean box for the fixed fee of $4.50.The read more
