This depthing tool appears to be a model JMW 44 and is best suited for work on smaller clocks like Vienna Regulators and French clocks. There are 2" between centers and accommodate a 2 ½" max. wheel size. Even thought the box has been in a few scrapes, there is no evidence the tool has been used much, I.E. the points are factory sharp and show no misuse or sharpening.
