Mamiya Universal press camera with rare Tetraphoto quadroscopic lens. Mamiya Universal Press medium format rangefinder camera with a Mamiya P 127mm f/4.7 lens, Mamiya polaroid back and a rare quadroscopic lens with film mask. The Mamiya Universal Press was designed for use by newspaper photographers, and was part of an extensive medium format photography system. A large number of lenses and accessories were produced for the Press system, and it could be used for anything from macro to sports. The Universal Press accepts also several film backs, from 6x6 to 6x9. The Universal Press is a well made, easy to use, and reliable camera, and it is capable of taking superb photos. The Mamiya Universal I am offering here, is in good condition but the top plate of the body has a little dent near the viewfinder (see last 2 photos) and there are some user marks on other parts of the camera (see the photos). The dent has not harmed any interior parts of the camera (hollow room). The rangefinder/viewfinder is clean and clear, has good contrast, and is properly adjusted. The viewfinder has variable framelines with 100mm, 150mm and 250mm and comes with a rubber eyecup. The 127mm f/4.7 lens is clean and clear, with no haze, fungus, or scratches, and the Seiko leaf shutter fires at all speeds, without sticking, from 1/500 to 1 sec and bulb in read more
