Super nice hand carved eagle bird of prey carving feasting on a salmon. Size of the carving is 3 and 1/8 inches tall. Carved entirely from fossil woolly mammoth ivory ( 11,000 to 40,000 years old ) a material collected by Alaskan Natives due to natural occurring erosion. The color is ivory. The carving has lots of character and detail.The material for this carving comes from fossils. No endangered, threatened or listed species was used to make it, and no animal was hunted for the carving material. Thanks for your interest.
