RARE Manchester United Home Shirt 96-98 - Beckam No.10 - Champions Badges 95/6 This auction is for an official supporters Manchester United home shirt as worn by the players during the 1996/7 and 1997/8 seasons. The shirt comes complete with official Premier League Champions 1995/6 badges on the sleeves and "Beckam" "10" on the back. Beckham was number 10 for the 1996/7 season before becoming the club number 7 in May 1997 following the retirement of Eric Cantona and the arrival of Teddy Sheringham (who took the number 10 jersey). This shirt is therefore extremely rare. Most people associate Beckam with the number 7 whilst at United. However, it was in the number 10 shirt that he scored his famous wonder goal from inside United's own half during their 2-0 victory over Wimbledon on 17 August 1996.
