Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for the Special 12" Edition FIgure of Mandarin Spawn: The Scarlet Edge from Spawn the Dark Ages (series 14), released by McFarlane Toys in 2000 as part of its 12" Collectibles line. More of a 'display 3D art' than the Ultra Action Figures McFarlane Toys is famous for, this huge display figure still has 8 points of articulation even though it is best suited as a display piece. Billed as a 12" figure, this massive Mandarin Spawn: The Scarlet Edge figure actually towers at nearly 15" and easily dwarves any 1/6 scale or 12" figure you may have in your collection. He comes in a huge box whose dimensions measure approximately 15.5 x 10.7 x 6.2" (39 x 27.2 x 16 cm) and the whole thing (figure + box) weights at a whopping 2.5 lb. The photos here doesn't do nearly enough justice to how amazing this figure looks, from the level of detail in its sculpting, to the beautiful paint job that is usually reserved for artworks rather than mass produced toys. It is no wonder this figure went on to become an award-winner. To date it remainds one of the best and most impressive figures released by McFarlane Toys, both in terms of artistic design and sheer craftsmanship. Accessories include an arm-mounted shield, a mask, and swords - 2 of which can be hip-mounted and the other 2 blades combine to form a 19" dual-bladed sword similar to the double lightsaber wielded by Darth Maul. Just search for 'Mandarin Spawn Scarlet Edge' and Figure is brand new in mint condition and never removed from factory sealed box. The box has some signs of wear from storage, most notably a long crease line on the bottom side of the box. Others are mostly light bump / minor surface wear here and there that's kind of inevitable given the sheer size and mass of the box's contents (the cardboard used is a bit flimsy for something this big, but the elegant design of the box allows you to display the figure without ever having to take it out). This has been stored away from direct sunlight and humidity since I bought it more than a decade ago, so as you can see the colors are still as vibrant as the day it was made.
