A delightful and extremely pretty late victorian early edwardian French time piece for your mantel,sideboard or table. Made in solid burred walnut it has a brass eight day balanced platform escapement movement keeping excellent time.To the back a solid brass lift out door for access for winding. The 3.3/4"dial is brass with an inner engine turned sunburst with burnished black steel hands and black scrolled arabic numerals enclosed with an ornate brass bezel with convex glass.Stands on brass feet 6.1/2" high x 8" wide x 3" deep a very placable size. A waisted case in solid burr walnut and in very fine condition.To the front surrounding the bezel there has been some very tastful fruitwood inlay with fleur de lys some mother of pearl with box wood stringing to the outer surround finished with four dainty acorn finiels. A lovely little clock all original to add to your collection so pretty and a desirable.Do not miss out on this beautiful French time piece.
