I believe this 4-6-2 steam engine to be a vintage Mantua. The loco is brass ...I easily removed some of the black paint with acetone. The tender that came with the engine is diecast metal and has "Mantua" hallmarked on the underside. The set is very heavy and with decent detail. Some parts are damaged and there may be missing pieces. The engine does not run, but the insides and motor do not show signs of corrosion or deterioration. Sold as is for parts or repair.
