Elk Wood Products is proud to present this Maple Barnwood Country Cottage Chalkboard. The frame was constructed from Maple Barnwood reclaimed from a old 150 year old barn near Springfield, Ohio. It was handcrafted here in our shop in Springfield, Ohio! We take the time to make sure all of the details of each piece is perfect! This ensures us that each piece looks like they have been around a very long time and that they last even longer! This is a fixed price listing! No waiting or bidding! It measures 20" wide by 30 3/4" high. The top trim is 21 1/2" wide. This piece features a solid maple barnwood wood frame construction, a mortise and tenon jointed frame for strength, top trim, and a 3" deep shelf deep enough to hold an eraser and a groove for holding chalk. The chalkboard is new. It is manufactured by us. The surface is very smooth and durable. It is NOT slate or magnetic. BARNWOOD FRAME DETAILS: We have built some mirrors, chalkboards, message boards, picture frames out of this maple barnwood. Each piece is unique! Each frame may have one or all of the following: natural defects, wormholes, nail stains or holes, cracks, checks. The defects in no way hurt the integrity of the construction of the piece.
