Marantz 2385 Vintage Receiver This is one of Marantz's flagship receivers from the late 70's. One of the best receivers Marantz has every built. It's rated at 185 WPC @ 8 ohms and sounds absolutely wonderful. It has the classic Marantz sound and tons of power. It originally retailed for $1,095 and sounds better than most receivers being sold today. This receiver is fully functional and electronically everything works . All inputs work - Phono 1, Phono 2, Tape 1 In/Out, Tape 2 In/Out, Aux. 1, Aux. 2. Connections for two sets of speakers. All controls and switches cleaned with De-Ox-It. Controls operate quietly. It appears that all electronic parts are original. All lamps work. All panel lights work, meters work, dial pointer light works, function indicator lamps work. Meter lamps work. The face plate lettering is in tact. Dial glass is very good. There are a couple of small nicks on the faceplate (next to the 'M' in Marantz and on the upper right corner) and on the 'mode' knob. The cabinet has chipped paint, particularly on the top edges. A previous owner engraved his name on the bottom of the receiver. The balance knob is broken off, leaving a stub, but the switch is still functional. All original knobs and original feet. Please refer to the photos.
