Beautiful and rare Marc Chagall hand signed lithograph, "The Dead Dolphin and the 300 Drachmas". In an ornate heavy gold wood frame, measuring 23 3/4" H x 20 1/2" W x 2" D. Shows slight wear from age. The visible image, measuring 12 1/8" H x 8 7/8" W, is in excellent condition. Has a linen fabric covered double mat. This lithograph comes from a friend's estate. Papers on the back indicate that it was purchased at auction around 1985. The papers also indicate that this is a bookplate, offset lithograph, hand autographed by the artist. The first 6 photos were taken under natural light. Artificial light was used for the last photo, which makes the lithograph look much lighter. However, it shows the truer color of the mat and gold frame. Ship only within the USA lower 48 states. Will be shipped insured with Signature Required on delivery.
