It provides a superb retrospective look at the Dada and Surrealist movements, from the vantage point of 1960's America. This volume boasts 300 black and white illustrations with 6 in color. Artists represented include Jean Arp, Marcel Duchamp, Francis Picabia, Max Ernst, Kurt Schwitters, Pablo Picasso, Yves Tanguy, Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, Giorgio de Chirico, Man Ray, Alexander Calder , Ossip Zadkine, Marc Chagall, Fernand Leger, Matta Echaurren, Amedee Ozenfant, Jacques Lipchitz, Max Ernst, Joan Miro and so many others. It's contents include scholarly essays, Notes, a Chronology, Bibliography, and detailed Checklist of all 331 works in this monumental exhibition. It measures 9 x 9 1/4 inches with 253 pages (paginated). There is significant wear to the cover (front and back), bending, paper peeling, etc. but the inside pages are clean and fresh and in fine condition. NOT ex-library;
