”GIRL(gypsy) WITHVIOLIN” Mária SZANTHO (Hungarian, c.1898/1908-1984) original oil painting on canvas. Signed SZANTHO MARIA on the lower left hand corner. Unfortunately the canvas(riped size in the middle "on white shirt" 5.5"x1.5" and 1" on the top right above the head) and the frame damaged as you can see on the pictures. Need some restoration and new frame. Size: with frame 29.5" x 37" (75cm x 94cm)canvas without frame 23" x 31" (58.5cm x 78.5cm) Maria Szantho was born on July 31, 1897 in the city of Szeged which is in the south part of Hungary. She had an extraordinary life, gifted in arts, and achieved fame and international appreciation and honor. Her paintings are well known at galleries and auction houses, and part of many collections.I can post worldwide!
