This auction is for a sweet book by Mark Twain. Punch Brothers Punch and Other Sketches. First Edition. 1878, 142 pages. New York: SLOTE WOODMAN & CO.. S. W. GREEN PRINTER AND ELECTROTYPER, 16 and 18 Jacob Street, New York. 9 different sketches, 1. Punch Brothers Punch, 2. Speech on the Weather at the New England Society's Seventy-first Annual Dinner. 3. Rogers 4. Map of Paris(with map) 5. Random notes of an Idle excursion. 6. Speech at a Dinner of the Knights of ST. Patrick. 7. An encounter with an interviewer. 8. The Loves of Alonzo Fitz Clarence, etc.. 9. The Canvasser's Tale. Bound with red cloth hardcover, t is some wear to the corners and spine, On spine writing is clear, Some soiling, and foxing throughout. The 1st page has a stamped name of the previous owner. The 1st 2 pages are starting to separate from the binding and the 3rd has come loose. The rest are secure. On the edges of the pages t is a tiny piece missing about the size of a pea.
