This is a great package. It is TWO signed 8x10 color photos from the movie The Fighter of actor Mark Wahlber and the real fighter, former World Champion Micky Ward in one of his fights with the late Arturo Gatti. Micky was my guest on June 6 at the Clifton park Mall in Albany, NY. One of the most down to earth guests I ever had in over twenty years. He is best known for his trilogy of fights with the late Arturo Gatti . The Wahlber photo has been certified by PSA DNA and comes with their COA. In his native Massachusetts , Micky Ward is regarded as a working class hero, a blue-collar athlete who has overcome many difficulties in life and prevailed through determination and hard work. Ward's older half-brother, Dickie Eklund , was also a professional fighter, and once faced Sugar Ray Leonard only later did Dickie Eklund become featured in the 1995 HBO documentary High on Crack Street , a portion of which is filmed at one of Micky Ward's earlier fights. [citation needed ]The upcoming film, The Fighter , recounts Ward's climb to fame. Mark Wahlberg has been cast for the role of Micky, with Christian Bale as his half-brother, Dickie Eklund .[ 1] Amy Adams has been confirmed as a love interest of Ward in the film.
