Original 14" x 11" black and white silver gelatin vintage photograph of Marlon Brando taken by photographic icon, Mary Ellen Mark. This original double weight photo was obtained directly from the estate of Marlon Brando; see accompanying letter (copy) from Brando's former assistant, Alice Marchak. Only a very few were known to have been printed . Mark shot his photo during the filming of Apocalypse Now in 1976. ..a nd the photo was printed in 1977 . The image itself measures 11.5" x 8" and is in great shape except for a few hard-to-notice tiny impressions that dont break emulsion The photo is remarkably sharp with a minor crinkle in the white corner as can be seen from the scan. The markings on the verso of the photo can be seen on the scan. Bargain price for an original Mary Ellen Mark photo of a major icon. Her editioned items in this size sell for $3,000 PLUS.
