Offered for auction is an antique beautiful solid mahogany Martha Washington Sewing Cabinet which can also serve as a lamp or side table. This piece is constructed of solid mahogany; each of the three drawers slide easily in and out and are dovetailed and the drawers themselves are also constructed of solid mahogany, a beautifully made piece. The two side lids are hinged over the curved storage compartments, all in fine condition. The top drawer has a fitted wooden tray insert and the second drawer has a removable metal rod for keeping thread spools. The cabinet is in good solid condition, with nicely turned solid legs. The drawer knobs are original. Some light scratches and minor dings as is to be expected with a piece thats been around for this length of time, however nothing major.
