This auction is for a wonderful cold-cast porcelain figurine from the Santa's World Travels Collection from Maruri. From 1999, it is called "Hippo Fill'er Up". Standing 4 1/2" tall by 6" wide, it features Santa fueing a baby hippo with candy in preparation for a long Christmas journey. Numbered 2623/5000 (I think), this is a limited edition figurine and comes complete with the box and certificate of authenticity. The item number for this figurine is SWT-9943. It is in excellent condition and just in time for Christmas. What a wonderful gift or addition to your collection. I always start my auctions with lower starting bid prices, partly because it is less expensive, but mostly to encourage competitive bidding. It is not an indication of any problems with the item. Any concerns I have about a particular piece's authenticity or any flaws will be noted in the item description. Additional pictures and information are available. Unless otherwise noted, all items are sold "as is". I primarily ship USPS priority mail, but will send standard or media (if available) rates on request. Please be aware that standard and media rates to take significantly longer delivery times. All rates will vary depending on your proximity to my location, please email me before you bid for rates. I try to package securely and add a minimal handling fee to the postage to help defray packaging supply costs. Insurance is available at the customer request and at an additional cost. I am not responsible for any damage once an item leaves my possession, so please request insurance if you have concerns about breakage or loss. Once again, I do not charge more than actual shipping costs except for the handling fees, so if this is a problem, please do not bid. I accept PayPal, money orders, and personal checks. Items will be shipped as soon as funds are received, except for checks which take 10 days to clear. Payment is expected within three days of my winning bid notification to the successful bidder, unless other arrangements are made. Please do not bid if you do not plan to buy. To my European or non-domestic bidders: I will no longer honor requests to ship using economy (sea) shipping. I intend no disrespect, but I have had issues with international bidders having unrealistic expectations on the amount of time it takes economy mail to be delivered. I encounter the same problems domestically with slower means of transportation. At least, in the States I can provide tracking. My apologies to you if this is a problem, but all international orders will be shipped air mail. Utilizing PayPal costs an additional $5.00 conversion fee, so this cost will be passed on as part of you shipping and handling charges. Be Aware: I make every effort to ship as soon as I can and to package against damage, but if you choose not to insure, I do not want emails requesting refunds on these types of items. Additionally, if you choose not to insure, I will not be held liable for non-delivery or damage. Also, if you choose media or standard mail as a shipping option, delivery time can be as much as three weeks. Delivery confirmation will be added to shipping charges to confirm delivery.
