Hoo boy, what a crazy time this is! Not only is my second child coming in less than a month, I'm also preparing to move to a new place (my 7th move since 2008)! Why am I telling you this? Because I have many boxes of comics, and moving boxes of comics is absolutely not a fun thing to do. Selling my comics will do two things for me -- lighten my load for the upcoming move, and raise funds for the move itself as well as new baby items that I need such as a car seat. What does this mean to you? Not much, except you can turn my loss into your gain. This auction is for "Amazing Spider-Man" vol.1 #42. Written by the legendary Stan Lee and illustrated by the seminal John Romita (Sr), this issue is mostly a ho-hum Silver Age Spidey comic ... until, well, let's face it ... when you get this comic, you'll hit the jackpot! Truly a landmark issue, as it features the first time Mary Jane Watson's face is shown. Please see the pictures for more details, as I tried to capture the flaws in the comic as much as possible. This comic is in very good shape. I would rate this a VF (8.0) if not for the huge crease right in the middle of the book, as apparently it was folded in half at one point. But other than that, the book looks great with nearly-sharp corners. I'm not a professional grader, so I cannot give a precise comic book grading for this comic, read more
