This MARX 027 ALLSTATE SET is nice, though it does have a few small problems which I will comment on as we go along. The set features two ROCK ISLAND switchers, one runner and one dummy!. the runner has been serviced and runs excellent. It is complete! The dummy is missing the horn. Paint and graphics I would rate as excellent on the switchers. NO missing plastic! The 6 cars are generally complete. The Allstate 3 dome tank car has faded paint on one side., The 50' MAROON Flatcar with ERIEI BRIDGE GIRDER is very nice! The Southern Auto carrier #51100 is very nice also! It only has 3 vehicles. The NYC Boxcar #176893 is very nice with both doors! The NYC CRANE car is missing the crank handle which seems to be common on these cranes. The Maroon work Caboose is complete except the smokejack has been knocked off and one tool box and railing has been glued. All 6 cars have operating tilt couplers and deluxe trucks. This Set comes with an oval of MARX Track with roadbed on every piece. There are 8 curved and 6 straight.. The lockon is present and the transformer is MARX #1669-100 Watt. AN instruction sheet is included that is not original to the set!Box is in fair condition! This set has a lot of play value! Buyer pays $28.00 UPS Ground for shipment!
