Tonight I will be breaking up a Marx Battle of the Blue and Gray playset #4745. I believe this set is from 1958. This set was obtained from the Marx Warehouse liquidation sale many years ago. It was excess stock that was just sitting there unopened. As you can see I opened the set but did so very carefully. I took several pictures from different angles to show the minimal damage from undoing the staples. This is a beauty! The graphics and colors on the cover are clean and bright. As you would expect, there are no mailing labels on this box. There is some stamped wording and numbers on the inside cover, which was done during manufacturing for Marx. This can certainly be an upgrade for many, and a great vintage, original box for anyone who has Marx Civil War items. You do not have to buy a reproduction.
