This is an original 11" by 14" Lobby card movie poster for the classic 1949 classic comedy Love Happy. Once again starring the mad zany Marx Brothers Groucho Chico and Harpo Marx in their last major film comedy. This one actually intended as a Harpo solo comedy called Diamonds in the Pavement, but Groucho was now a big star on You Bet your Life, and Chico needed the money, so voila, one last Marx Brothers comedy, Love Happy! Also starring Vera-Ellen, Ilona Massey, Marion Hutton, Raymond Burr, Melville Cooper, Leon Belasco, Paul Valentine, Eric Blore, Bruce Gordon costar. Lobby cards were issued way back when to movie theatres to help market and promote the film, this one is no 2 a great shot of Groucho as Private Eye Sam Grunion on the roof with Ilona Massey as Madame Egelichi, with Harpo playing the carefree character of Harpo, on that rooftop finale sequence. Poster in generally fine condition, a corner tackhole or two, some border smudging wear bottom border particularly right side, but otherwise no major problems per se, images are TERRIFIC, a great vintage lobby card movie poster!
