The original Marx Trains andToys founded by Louis Marx many decades ago was very successful with their lower priced toys for children for many years. Louis Marx Trains and Toys ceased to do business around the 1960’s, however during the past 20 years or so, the name and some of the original items were reproduced and introduced to the public once again by others. Marx Trains based in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1993 came out with a few metal sets of advertising billboards. This is one in its original packing and in Like New condition. The signs are tin lithograph and measure 3 ½” x 5 ¼” and are made with a formed based so they stand upright. One is for Moon’s Bisquits apparently advertising a canine bakery in Wisconsin, another is for Winger Building Services, which must have been involved with the National Recovery Act and the third is a vacation in Florida general billboard. On the bottom of each billboard is printed “Marx Trains 1993”. Please email if you have any questions.
