This is a very nice Masons Collectable as well as a very nice piece of memorabelia from the Town of Holliston.. Thomas Arthur Gooch was a significant figure in the town of Holliston and a Mason in the early part of the 1900's . They even named a part of East Holliston after him. It is fondly called Gooch's Corner. I have three original pieces which were awarded and treasured by Mr. Gooch. This auction is for Thomas Arthur Gooch's Framed High School Diploma. It is in nice shape, under glass, with its original black wood frame and hanger on the back. It has a red ribbon and a gold ribbon on the upper right hand corner used as ornamentation. It reads: Holliston High School Diploma Be It Known That Thomas Arthur Gooch has honorably completed the Course of Study as prescribed for the High School and by intellectual attainments and correct deportment is entitled to receive this Diploma Given at Holliston Massachusetts this 18th day of June 1914. It is signed by Carroll H. Drown Superintendent Charles A. Gardner Chairman, Earle F. Maloney Principal of the High School and William F. Chapman Secretary. It was printed by the W.M.
