This auction features four Mason's Patent Ironstone China Saucers in the Imari style "Table and Flowerpot" pattern and date to 1818. These lovely plates are hand-painted and have multiple painted and impressed marks. They have the number 2840 painted on the back. Each one is in an octagon shape and measure 5 1/2 inches across. One plate has a crack and a few have some crazing due to their excessive age. One is in mint condition, with no crazing, cracks or chips. T is some paint wear along the edges. One interesting feature of these plates is that two appear to be painted by one artist and the other two by a different artist. The differences are minimal, but highlights the artistic license artists used during this timeframe. Thanks for looking!! Check out my other items ! Discounted shipping for multiple purchases!
