Who would have thought it (unless you happen to be a plumber): prior to the 1880s, t was little standardization (or need for it) in the plumbing trade...but when indoor plumbing became more and more common, standardization and quality control became essential to the business. And thus was born in 1883, in New York City, the National Association of Master Plumbers. This is a little collection of convention badges from that organization. 1913, 1914, and a variety from the 1930s. Condition varies from very nice to kind of ratty. Included are three extras that have lost their namplates. Buyer pays $3.00 shipping, insurance optional at added cost. I've found the nameplates for the ribbons that didn't have them, so they will go with this lot. Also, you might want to look at the other convention ribbons I have listed--they are all from the National Association of Master Plumbers and have really nice nameplates customized to the cities in which the conventions were held (including a pair from the 50th anniversary convention in New York City).
