Occasionally I will come across something at auction that I can't help but fall in love with, this is one of those pieces. When I saw this plugged in and lit up I was absolutely captivated by it. Now I am offering it up to the highest bidder. This fully functional (I plugged it in and it kept perfect time and lit up) clock is made by Mastercrafters Clock and Radio company in Chicago Ill. It is the model no 146 Starlight. It has a glass face mounted onto a gold painted metal base. The light is turned on and off by the button on the bottom back (see photo). And the hands keep time whether the light is on or off. T is a star pattern that points to each of the hours on the back side of the glass. It has a very art deco look to it that I absolutely love. It weighs about three and a half pounds and measures just under nine inches tall by eight and a half inches at the widest and four and a half inches at the deepest. The glass face is eight and one half inches by seven inches. T are a few scratches on the gold painted base, but the glass is in great shape as well as the numbers and applied white star. Because of the nature of vintage electronics, I must declare this piece as is.
