Masudaya Japan MICKEYMOUSE STEAMBOAT WILLIE Wind-Up Toy NIB MIB OOP NR Description : Offered hereis a beautifully executed wind-up toy released in celebration of the 60 th anniversary of the release of the film. The toy depicts Mickey Mouse piloting a steamboat. Once the clockwork motor is wound up by turning the built in key on the underside of the boat, the boat rolls forward with paddle wheels turning and pistons alternately move up and down. The theme of this toy is from the classic, 1928 film, Steamboat Willie. The color pallet used for the toy is much like the original black & white movie. There is a bit of gold accent coloring here and there and the bottom of the boat is dark blue, otherwise the colors used are all in grayscale. The boat body is tin; the balance of the toy is plastic, PVC or another similar material. The toy is a bit over 6 inches in length. Released in 1988, exclusively for the Japanese market, this toy has been out of production for many years. Condition: The toy is in mint, unused condition with no flaws. The box and inserts are likewise in mint condition. I purchased the toy new and it has been stored in a closet ever since; it has not even been displayed. The toy is truly NIB MIB condition.
