Item Description and Bidding/ Shipping Cost and Policy/ Payment Instructions:One (1) Matchbox Lesney Ford G.T. 40 Racing Car 41 c6, white body, factory inverted "6" #9 label (Stannard says: "The bonnet number can be found incorrectly applied as a number 9 instead of 6."), 11.5 x 45 black plastic tyres on 7 mm yellow plastic wheels, Stannard code 6 showing #9 label with tow guide and body extension variation (see last photo). Stannard catalogue casting code 6 of 7. This model is in very near mint condition. It was introduced in 1965 and was sold in this type and 5 other variations based upon body colour, applique type and number, and wheel colour differences (Mack). It is approximately 67mm in overall length. Please carefully examine the high definition photos for the original paintwork detail. The original inverted #6 label is clean and factory fresh. The 11.5 x 45 black plastic tyres have seen no use. The black paintwork on the metal base is immaculate. There are no casting or mechanical defects. This Ford G.T. 40 Racer will display as brand new. Additional photographs can be sent to your e-mail address and questions will be entertained up to 4 hours prior to auction end. We make the complimentary box which will be sent with the model. They are constructed of correct weight tag board . They are laser printed so they will be somewhat glossier than an original Lesney era box, which was printed with lithography. This box is intended for display and storage purposes with a genuine Lesney Products model only. Please do not pay before we send you an invoice. After all items upon which you intend to bid have closed, you may ask for an invoice. For deliveries outside of the US, we will make sure that proper, lowest cost combined shipping is applied. The Stannard code can be difficult to discern but we make every effort to correctly identify the casting using the Stannard catalogue. It is not guaranteed to be correct but we almost always get it right. If you think we made an error, please ask us to re-examine the casting. 2. Grading : VNM = Very Near Mint. The paintwork is, for all practical purposes, close to new. Original factory flaws will be noted in the listing if they exist. All original accessories are present.N M = Near Mint. Restoration unnecessary. The paintwork is nearly perfect, clean, shiny and bright on all exterior surfaces (except for possibly the base, if painted). Original, virgin paintwork approaches 100% with the possible exception of any factory paint flaws or very minor storage (not impact) wear. Negligible rolling use of the wheels may be present. The model is mechanically perfect. All original appliques and accessories are present.EXC = Excellent. Minor paintwork and/or applique imperfections may exist, usually due to improper storage, not play, and will be evident in the photos. Paintwork imperfections may have been restored. Decals or other appliques may have been replaced with replicas. For this grade, no mechanical problems exist, including windows, if applicable, and no such repairs have ever been performed, in our opinion. Minor wheel use may be evident.
