Item Description and Bidding/ Shipping Cost and Policy/ Payment Instructions: One (1) Matchbox Lesney Leyland 'BP' livery Petrol Tanker 32 c2, black plastic wheels variation. This outstanding model is in near mint plus (please see grading criteria below) code 1 condition from my personal collection. It was introduced in February, 1968 and was sold in this type and two other variations based upon grille finish and livery, the other being the less common ARAL in blue and white (Mack). There exist 17 distinct Stannard sub-variant code types. I believe that this is a Stannard code 9 (B-B-A) although these fill caps appear thick. It is approximately 77 mm in overall length. Please carefully examine the high definition photos for the superb, nearly flawless code 1 original, virgin paintwork detail. The original BP labels are clean and factory fresh. There are no casting or mechanical defects. This fine Leyland Petrol Tanker will display as new. Additional photographs can be sent to your e-mail address and questions will be entertained up to 4 hours prior to auction end. I make the free replica box which will be sent with the model. I use them to display my own collection which then allows me to carefully store my original boxes. We will send one to you with compliments postpaid for your inspection prior to bidding, if you wish. They are constructed of correct weight tag board, square and functionally perfect, fresh and colourful, accurately detailed inside and out . They are laser printed so they will be somewhat glossier than an original Lesney era box, which was printed with lithography.
