Item Description and Bidding/ Shipping Cost and Policy/ Payment Instructions: One (1) Matchbox Lesney Vauxhall Victor Sedan 45 a2; yellow body; flat black painted base; 8.5 x 18 metal wheels variation. Casting smilar to the rare red code 1, this pale yellow painted casting shows A type thin rear post braces, A type bonnet interior with one ejector ring only, no dash brace, ridge behind radiator area; A type trim front and rear applied by hand before base assembly. Stannard code 1 of 23 but in pale yellow. This fine model is in near to very near mint condition. It was introduced in 1958 and was sold in this type and 6 other variations, based upon body and wheel type and presence or absence of a window insert (Mack). There exist 23 distinct Stannard code types. This is a Stannard code 1 casting but with yellow body, no window insert, and 8.5 x 18 metal wheels. It is approximately 61 mm in overall length. Please carefully examine the high definition photos for the beautiful, flawless original paintwork detail. The black paintwork on the metal base is immaculate and the wheels show no evidence of use. The tow hook is fully intact. There are no casting or mechanical defects. This very early casting of the Vauxhall Victor Sedan will display as new. They are constructed of correct weight tag board . They are laser printed so they will be somewhat glossier than an original Lesney era box, which was printed with lithography.
