.25 caliber, 3" barrel, serial number 89833. Blue finish, one piece Bakelite grip inscribed Karl Frank, Sch-E-A-I-Komp- Munchen. Includes original holster which has an illegible inscription presenting the pistol to Frank(?). Condition: This pistol retains ca 80% original blue finish with most loss on the left side of the frame and some slight muzzle wear. It has an excellent bore and excellent grip. The inscription on the inside flap of the holster appears to be signed in ink "F. Konig"(?), who was a prominent surgeon in Lower Austria. The holster is in excellent condition with some minor crazing, but is still supple. While Cowan's has no way to substantiate the authenticity of this piece, it certainly warrants further research.
