The model number is '00033', so it was the 33rd S5 to ever be made by Maverick. Active pickups, low action and currently tuned BEADG. Three EQ controllers, and a volume controller for each pick up mounted side-on within the body. Body is American Swamp Ash, oiled finished, so is matte rather than varnished. There are a couple of very light buckle marks on the back plate which are so light they won't show in the pictures, but they're very shallow and can barely be seen even by eye. The signal out is actually very neutral with very little 'character' (other than the fact the output is very neutral), as these guitars were designed to be driven through a pedal or controller - and therefore leave absolute control of the sound to the musician. The guitar retailed for £550 new (if memory serves), and these aren't made any more I don't think. I got it in 2003 (I think) - selling now as getting very little use. A very cherished bass guitar, which looks really good! Will ship to UK only, or buyer collect.
