Original etching by Max Fernekes entitled "Four Story Gables". Fernekes (1905-1984) was a noted Milwaukee then Mineral Point, Wisconsin artist. EDUCATION: Milwaukee State Teacher's College with Gustave Moeller EXHIBITIONS: F. W. Bresler Galleries, Milwaukee, 1945; "Celebration 100: A Century of Alumni Art", University Art Museum, Milwaukee, 1985; "Early Wisconsin Ambiance: Environments and Landscapes by Wisconsin's Early Artists, 1880-1940", West Bend Art Museum, 1992 AWARDS: Milwaukee Art Commission, 1981 COLLECTIONS: Museum of Wisconsin Art, West Bend, Wisconsin; Miller Art Museum, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin Size of the image is 9 3/4 x 7 1/2. Signed in pencil lower right. Titled in pencil lower left. A detailed, finely rendered work. Has not been examined out of the frame but appears to be in very good condition in frame and double mat.
