A very lovely 8 INCH SQUARE TRAY or PLATE with very nice color, even sides, and good weight (heavier than many I've come across, and that gives this a nice feel!) Very pretty edges with nice finish, a clear and attractive Mississippi River mark, and TWO SIGNATURES - clearly on the lower right front and clearly on the back. Some of these are prettier than others, and this is a nice one. Makes a nice display on an easel, but as this may be placed in dishwasher, etc., this is often used for an appetizer plate, for salads, or for desserts. In my family, folks like to use these for sandwiches and pizza slices, and they prefer these to the big plates if they can get away with it. I have also used these for dessert plates. I like the way the edges are raised, and if you do use for food service, these help keep the food ON the plate!
